Yet another New Toy!

Time to sell the old boat that I'm never gonna find time to finish. Was out and about today and ran across an old Gregor 12' Aluminum, on a trailer with 3 new tires, seats, oars, cover, dolly and oh by the way a 6HP Johnson and a 42# thrust MinnKota Electric trolling motor. This 80 year old guy bought the thing to fish small lakes with his son and never used it. His son had died and now all it was doing was blocking his travel trailer. Normally, I would try to haggle a better deal but it was already a good deal and didn't want to let it get away from me.

A few minor things to fix and I'm ready for the lake. I've got a 15hp Evinrude I need to throw in the shop before I try fishing the river. But basically all I need to do is pickup an anchor and some rope and fix a turn signal on the trailer. I'm gonna pull off the trailer jack and spare tire hardware off the other trailer and mount it on also maybe. Behind the boat is the new cyclone fence we had put in and you can see some of the privacy webing I started inbstalling.

So anyway about the only thing left is getting a fishfinder. I've got a redneck in the house so I got that covered also!

Make that TWO rednecks! You might not be from the South, but I have news for you; your neck is as red as mine at times. And just wait 'til Little 'Un gets here! Then we'll be in hillbilly heaven! It's nice to see you so happy and excited about something besides the Pondorosa. At least this will be all PLAY!
OK I am jealous..amd really having fishing fever now...thank God the lake is only two blocks away.
Today is opening day for trout season here in California. How's that for timing? I need to get my licence now. I'm about 5 miles from Shasta Lake where I live. I'm also about 25 miles from Coleman Fish Hatchery which is the largest salmon hatchery in the nation. These means good salmon fishing nearby also.
My old boat is in an unfinished state. I've been working on it for over 3 years off and on. More off than on actually. This seemed like the best solution to cool the fever.
If you like to fish you need to see these bloopers

Thanks. Man that guy has problems. I remember one winter fishing in the harbor down in Santa Cruz and Fell in with everything. The bank was slick as snot. I laughed probably for a half an hour after I finally made it out.
you should watch all the vids of that guy...Im surprised he still has a show
here is another good one

I thought I was going to wet myself....the first time a saw this
Took your advice and watched all the vids I could find on the guy. What a Nimrod! Of course it was good training on what not to do myself. These guys endup getting shows by catching lot's of fish in the tournaments. As they win tournaments, they draw sponsor attention...then when they have enough sponsors...Even a Nimrod can get a show since the sponsors are also advertisers.
Pretty cool Racket if you ask me.
I used to get about $3.50 at the pet store for the giant goldfish I'd bring them to resell when I was apund 10 years old or so..I guess I too have been paid to fish at one time or the other.
yes...bigtime nitwit
I told the little woman that I was going to use a Hummingbird to find the fish for me. She envisioned me tying one of the hummingbirds around the house to a string or something I guess. Yesterday at the boat store she saw me looking at fishfinders and noticed the brand name of Hummingbird and commented that now she understood.
I still haven't told her that My favorite EBAY store will be making a delivery any day now. I bought one a few days ago.
