Obama Explains it! I believe what he decribes actually crosses racial differences. Personally I am proud that the country has trancended into a "better place" than we were back in the 60's. Unfortunately, racism will never be eliminated. It is a disease that crosses all boundries of countries, religions, race, and beliefs.
In this day and age, he should have said "My grandmother is a typical person". For a black or even half black individual to make any reference to a "typical white person", especially one's own grandmother, is a racial slur to say the least!
I guess I'm not the typical white person though because I have had several close friends in my life of all colors. I gave them a chance as individuals to be my friend just as they gave me the same chance.
