I was out admiring my new lawn area I just seeded on Friday...and heard a big ruckus in the sky. About 200+ feet directly overhead flew a Air Force C-17 cargo carrier. I think he missed the parade route by a block or so. The video below shows a C-17 from the DVD I'm making. I was only fast enough to grab the woman of the castle to see it. No time to grab either camera.
Obama Explains it! I believe what he decribes actually crosses racial differences. Personally I am proud that the country has trancended into a "better place" than we were back in the 60's. Unfortunately, racism will never be eliminated. It is a disease that crosses all boundries of countries, religions, race, and beliefs.
In this day and age, he should have said "My grandmother is a typical person". For a black or even half black individual to make any reference to a "typical white person", especially one's own grandmother, is a racial slur to say the least!
I guess I'm not the typical white person though because I have had several close friends in my life of all colors. I gave them a chance as individuals to be my friend just as they gave me the same chance.

You can't diasavow your roots...you are who you are and who you hang with.
Unfortunately Bill Beach was speaking to many deaf ears. Increasing taxes has never stimulated job growth or the economy as a whole. Working harder only to be able to pay higher taxes doesn't pay for the well deserved vacation. It gives you less to dream with, less to spend and puts the American Dream further and further from your reach.
